Dear Mr. Spielberg,
I am the son of inmate from the most notorious concentration camp Jasenovac during World War II and Independent State of Croatia. Ustasha killed in Jasenovac 700.000 people.
My mother is one of 12.000 children who survived awfulness of concentration camp Jasenovac where during their visits SS members as visitors abhorred.
Those 12.000 children’s survived thanks to Austrian madam Diana Budisavljevic.
She had the support of a narrow circle of people, and they are risking their lives for Serbian children.
Against her and her associates were the Ustasha authorities, and after the war has fallen in disfavor with the Communists.
She died almost forgotten in Innsbruck, Austria. Her name does not carry any street, any institution in Serbia, Bosnia or Croatia. None of the textbooks, there is no book or movie about it.
Maybe her Diary could be the base together with living words of survived inmates for the scenario.
Kindly ask you to consider any possibility about the movie dedicated to madam Diana Budisavljevic.
